The NeoBiota journal

NeoBiota is a peer-reviewed, open-access, rapid online journal on the underlying mechanisms and associated consequences of all types of alien species and biological invasions.

In 2002, NEOBIOTA founded a publication series also called NEOBIOTA. During the 2010 NEOBIOTA conference in Copenhagen, participants decided to transfer the NEOBIOTA publication series into the open-access, peer reviewed journal NeoBiota. Since its launch in 2011, NeoBiota has been led by Editor-in-Chief Ingolf Kühn. In 2024, four co-Editors-in-Chief were appointed alongside Ingof Kühn to reflect the increasing diversity of the field: Phillip Hulme, Andrew Liebhold, Ana Novoa, and Tammy Robinson-Smythe.
